BEACHES IN OLIVA

Find the Best Beaches in Oliva to Relax

As we mentioned earlier, Oliva offers you no less than 9 kilometers of paradisiacal beaches (that’s quite something), all of them in perfect condition and ideal for a dream summer. These are the best options to relax:

1. Terranova-Burguera Beach

Playa-de-Terranova

This beach functions as a true natural refuge, so if you’re looking for a quiet environment and crystal-clear waters, this is undoubtedly the one for you. Anyone who wants to escape the crowds a bit and come to a calm place to connect with nature should not miss Terranova-Burguera beach.

Although it’s not the most suitable beach for water sports, it is ideal for those long sunset walks that are so popular and for enjoying relaxing days and sea bathing.

2. Aigua Blanca Beach

Playa-de-Aigua-Blanca

Aigua Blanca is well-known in the area for its relaxed atmosphere and natural landscape, but especially for its fine white sands and transparent waters. Not in vain, we can proudly boast that it has received the illustrious Blue Flag award and the “Q” quality distinction.

Regarding its main services, it is somewhat more equipped than the previous one, providing useful sunbed and umbrella rentals (in case you forget yours at home), restaurants, and even sports areas for the younger ones and any adults who want to join in, of course.

3. Rabdells Beach (Gors)

Rabdells beach is a small hidden paradise, so maybe we’re doing wrong by revealing how incredible it is. It’s a perfect place for those seeking a more intimate contact with nature, as it has an almost untouched natural environment similar to a virgin jungle, which makes it less crowded than other beaches.

Don’t worry, as it still has basic services such as foot showers and even a children’s area.

4. Les Deveses Beach

This semi-urban beach also offers good vegetation and basic services such as foot showers and dining options. If you’re going with family and want a relaxed atmosphere but don’t want to miss out on anything… it’s also a great option.

What are the regulations for dogs on Oliva beach?

Are you thinking of going to a beach in Oliva with your dog? Well, we’re sorry to tell you that the regulations for dogs on Oliva beach are restrictive for your furry friends. Legally, the presence of these types of animals is not allowed on the beaches, especially during high season. If you violate this municipal ordinance, you may be subject to fines of up to 600 euros.

On the other hand, there is no dog-friendly beach in Oliva, but we can recommend other relatively nearby beaches where you can go with your pet, such as Pinedo Beach in Valencia, La Torreta-Santa Elvira Beach in El Puig, or the dog-friendly beach in Alboraya north of Valencia.

Can you do water activities and sports in the area?

For adventure and fun lovers, Oliva is a fantastic destination to enjoy water activities and sports. At Oliva Surf school, one of the most prominent in the area, they offer courses in sailing, kitesurfing, wakeboarding, and even the exciting water skiing. Check out some videos on YouTube, you’ll be amazed.

Additionally, you’ll also have the opportunity to try paddle surfing (important not to confuse it with the racquet sport), classic surfing, and bodyboarding, your best option if standing on the board proves challenging.

Aimed at children and young people, you’ll also find a wide variety of water activities such as dinghy sailing, SUP, or canoeing. Imagine how happy the little ones will be in a fun environment and how much you’ll be able to relax on your own.

Services and Amenities at the Beach

Although we’ve emphasized the tranquility and natural connection of Oliva’s beaches, that doesn’t mean they lack the basic services that will make your experience comfortable.

The beaches have annual sand cleaning services, trash bins, foot showers, and other hygienic facilities. Moreover, most of them have access for people with reduced mobility and wooden walkways.

As we mentioned earlier, in some you’ll find sports facilities, children’s playgrounds and, of course, beach bars and restaurants to have a drink or dine with the whole family.

Tips for a Perfect Visit to Oliva Beach

If you want to have the best experience on your visit to Oliva, we advise you to plan your trip in advance to avoid crowds or lack of accommodation. Choose between beaches like Terranova-Burguera or Pau Pi if you’re looking for tranquility, and opt for Aigua Blanca if you’re interested in water sports.

Don’t forget to explore the old town and the Pego-Oliva Marsh Natural Park and also be sure to try all our local cuisine. Of course, remember to respect the environment by recycling and reducing waste.

With these tips, we are 100% sure that your experience in Oliva will be unforgettable.
