Follow this route if you don't know how to get to the Viewpoint

Getting to the viewpoint is easier than finding a beach bar in summer. Just enter the following into your GPS: Calle Benjamín Britten, Javea and follow the Cap de la Nau road. After passing the turnoff to Cala de la Granadella, turn left towards the Balcón del Mar urbanization.

When the asphalt ends, a 200-meter gravel road begins, where you can park your car and start a short walk with your family, but don’t worry, you don’t have to use an all-terrain vehicle or be an Olympic athlete, even the laziest ones arrive just to see the views.

Be sure to explore all these nearby trails

There are activities available for all audiences, so if you are one of those who can’t stand still, we also have a perfect plan for you. From the viewpoint, fishermen’s paths go down to the Tabaco and Mina caves, so if you dare to explore, remember to wear good shoes and some water.

And if you still haven’t had enough adventure, you’ll be delighted to know that the area connects with other routes such as the Cap Prim or the Cala Portixol. Whether you suddenly become a professional hiker or just want to show off on Instagram. You will find hundreds of pine trees, rosemary, lavender and, if you are lucky, maybe even some mountain goats will greet you from above.

Do you like good views and photography? Then this interests you!

The views are undoubtedly the best of Cap Negre. You can observe the entire coast of Jávea, with Montgó in the background, the bay, Cabo de San Antonio, Cap Prim, the island of Portitxol and, if you turn around, Cabo de la Nao waving from the south. Even if the day is clear you can see Ibiza in the background.

So, if you like photography, prepare your camera because you won’t stop wanting to change your wallpaper with every glance (they say there are some selfies worth remembering). A tip to have the best photo is to wait for sunset, or if you are one of the most romantic, come at night to see the shooting stars.

What is the best time of year to visit Cap Negre?

The good thing is that the Mediterranean climate helps you to visit Cap Negre at almost any time of the year. But, if you want to enjoy it to the fullest in summer, what we advise you to do is go to first thing in the morning, since the sun does not forgive.

Although if you are looking for milder temperatures, few people and being able to move from all angles to find the best photo without rushing, the ideal time is autumn or spring. And even if you are looking for more tranquility, fresh air, peace and silence you can also go in winter, (don’t worry, the views are the same).

Write down these recommendations for your visit

We all want our visit to be a 10 out of 10, or if we get perfectionists we may reach an 11, so we give you some recommendations so that your view meets all your expectations or even exceeds them.

It is very important that you bring water and sun protection. Although the climate is not bad or overwhelming at all, the sun will hit you fully, and we don’t want any sunstroke or a grill tan that lasts until Christmas.

If you want to enjoy the trails, wear comfortable shoes, no beach flip-flops or other type of shoe that does not allow you to walk, or worse, that causes chafing. Also, if you go with small children or animals, be careful: the terrain is safe, but it is always better to prevent than to cure.

Another tip to have a new wallpaper every day of the year is to bring the camera or mobile well charged, you don’t want to run out of battery just at the sunset of the pink sky, do you?

If you dare, you can bring something to snack on and have a picnic overlooking the Mediterranean. Of course, respect nature and do not leave garbage, or mistreat the environment in any way.
