Today we\u2019ll tell you which one to choose depending on the kind of day you\u2019re in the mood for. Keep reading!   <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The best sandy beaches in D\u00e9nia and nearby when you want to play it safe<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re coming to D\u00e9nia and you\u2019re simply after comfort and an easy swim, <strong>Les Marines is your area<\/strong>. It\u2019s the northern stretch of the coastline and it brings together many of the most practical beaches for a full day out. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here you\u2019ll find names like <strong>Punta del Raset, Les Marines, Les Bovetes, Els Molins, L\u2019Almadrava and Les Deveses<\/strong>. In general, these are more open beaches, with sand and easier access than the coves in the south. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Comfortable beaches for families and relaxed plans<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Punta del Raset is one of the most convenient options if you\u2019re close to the town centre. It\u2019s <strong>the first sandy beach north of the town<\/strong>, with easy access\u2014ideal for family time, relaxing, or doing some sport. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Les Bovetes is also a great option for families<\/strong>. It has sand, services, walkways, lifeguards, and a setup that makes it easy to stay for hours without constantly worrying about what you\u2019re missing. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les Marines is another safe bet if you want a wide beach without too many surprises.<strong> This beach stretches for almost 3 kilometres<\/strong>, with plenty of space to set up your umbrella and enjoy fine sand by the sea.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Beaches with more atmosphere and services for a full day out<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to <strong>spend the whole day<\/strong>, you need more than pretty sand. You need showers, lifeguards, places nearby to eat, sunbed rentals, and access that doesn\u2019t make you question your life choices. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In that case, <strong>Les Marines, Les Bovetes and Punta del Raset are usually very practical options<\/strong>. They\u2019re busier beaches, with more services and more atmosphere in high season. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2026, D\u00e9nia has <strong>seven Blue Flags on its beaches:<\/strong> Deveses, Molins, Bovetes, Marines, Punta del Raset, Marineta Cassiana and Punta Negra\u2014an award linked to criteria such as environmental quality, safety, accessibility, services and sustainable management.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>More natural coves and quiet corners in D\u00e9nia and nearby<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>D\u00e9nia changes quite a bit as you head down towards Les Rotes.<\/strong> Here, sand gives way to rock, the landscape turns into a wilder Mediterranean scene, and swimming calls for a different pace.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les Rotes is located south of the town centre, about 1.5 kilometres away, and includes rocky coves such as El Trampol\u00ed. What stands out here is its <strong>cobblestone seafront promenade<\/strong>, which runs along these coves and continues towards Punta Negra. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This side of D\u00e9nia is<strong> perfect if you want snorkelling, beautiful views, and a less classic beach experience<\/strong>. That said, it\u2019s worth coming a bit more prepared than usual. <\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Coves to switch off and do your own thing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>El Trampol\u00ed, Punta Negra, Les Arenetes or La Cala<\/strong> are common names when people talk about Les Rotes. These are areas where the water usually looks amazing, especially when the sea is calm. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les Rotes is a <strong>shingle-and-rock beach, 3,200 metres long<\/strong>, with calm waters and easy access on foot or by car. It also notes that it\u2019s a semi-urban area, with services such as foot showers, bins and cleaning. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here, the plan changes. <strong>Bring water shoes, snorkelling goggles, some water, and a light backpack. <\/strong>If you want to watch fish, swim at an easy pace, and feel like the landscape has more character, Les Rotes is well worth it.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Activities and services on D\u00e9nia\u2019s coast so you\u2019re not stuck on your towel<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D\u00e9nia isn\u2019t just about pure relaxation. And sure, lying down and having a swim is great. But <strong>if one day you feel like getting moving, the coast has plenty to offer.<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the sandy beaches you can do <strong>sports like paddleboarding, kayaking, beach volleyball<\/strong>, or gentler family activities. Some beaches in Les Marines are very convenient for these kinds of plans. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>D\u00e9nia is also <strong>known for its connection to water sports<\/strong>. Areas like Les Deveses or Punta del Raset are often mentioned as some of the best for windsurfing and kitesurfing when conditions are right. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In Les Rotes, <strong>the star activity is usually snorkelling<\/strong>. There\u2019s no need to overcomplicate it. With goggles, water shoes and a bit of patience, you can really enjoy it if the water is clear.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To get around the coastline,<strong> D\u00e9nia has local buses connecting the centre with the beaches of Les Marines and Les Rotes<\/strong>, as well as taxis and services adapted for people with reduced mobility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Tips to enjoy a beach day in D\u00e9nia properly<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first tip isn\u2019t very epic, but it works: choose the beach based on the day, not on its reputation.<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>If you\u2019re going with kids, look for sand, services and easy access.<\/strong> If you want snorkelling, go for rock. If you want to spend hours without moving, prioritise showers, shade, beach bars and nearby toilets. If you just want a quick dip at the end of the afternoon, there\u2019s no need to cross half the town.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>It\u2019s also worth getting up early in July and August.<\/strong> Not to make you suffer, but because the beach changes a lot when you arrive early. Parking is easier, you\u2019ll find a spot, and the heat hasn\u2019t started a fight yet. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Always check the flag before you swim. <\/strong>D\u00e9nia has lifeguard services on the main beaches during the season, but the sea decides. If there\u2019s a red flag, it\u2019s time for a walk, an ice cream or a terrace. It\u2019s not time to play the hero.  <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>And if you\u2019re going to Les Rotes, bring water shoes.<\/strong> We\u2019re repeating it because someone always forgets and ends up walking over the rocks with a look of regret.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Come and discover D\u00e9nia\u2019s beaches and stay close to the coast<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">D\u00e9nia\u2019s beaches have something really practical: <strong>they let you change your plan without changing your destination.<\/strong> One day you can go to a wide beach in Les Marines.
